According to an article in the Traverse City Record Eagle (6 Jan 1953, page 1), Phillip Kintgen, age 25, of Menominee, carjacked a cab near Milwaukee, forcing the driver at gunpoint to drive. When the driver managed to escape and call the police, Phillip shot himself.Endnotes
