Mario CAVALIERI

Mario Cavalieri, 88, of Lawrenceville, passed away Monday in Arcadia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hamilton.Born and raised in Iron Mountain, MI, Mr. Cavalieri worked as a baker and construction laborer in Michigan and Wisconsin. He moved to New Jersey in 1958 and retired in 1984 from Princeton Theological Seminary after 24 years of service. Upon his retirement, he moved to Texas for eight years before returning to New Jersey.Son of the late Santi and Lucia (Boccadori) Cavalieri, and father of the late Mariana Lee Yeager, he is survived by his wife of 66 years, Opal Mary (Michaud) Cavalieri; a son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Donna Cavalieri; a son-in-law, William T. Yeager; his grandchildren, Jennifer Mullen and her husband John, Jonathan, Kristen and Kacey Cavalieri, William T. Yeager III and his wife Cathy; his great-grandchildren, Dylan and Jack Yeager; and several nieces and nephews.A Memorial gathering will be held 6-8pm Friday at the Saul Memorial Home, 1740 Greenwood Ave, Trenton, NJ.Entombment of cremated remains will be private.Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
