Racine Florist Dies (Courtney G. Rowlands)
Courtney "Court" G. Rowlands, 70, who owned and operated Aladdin Flower Shop in West Racine and on Taylor Avenue, died Friday.
Rowlands served as president of the West Racine Business and Professional Men's Association in the 1970s.
A 1937 graduate of Park High School, Rowlands served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and was a prisoner of war.
Survivors include his wife, Blossom; a son and a daughter.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home, 1139 Blaine Ave. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery.
