Lawrence Napoleon DeLeers, Jr. 2 Lawrence was born in Marinette, WI on April 19, 1936, and died peacefully with his family, at home, on August 26, 2010. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Pamela Covert DeLeers, and six children; Stephen V. DeLeers of Milwaukee, Anne E. DeLeers of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Huntsinger of Milwaukee, Jon A. DeLeers of Milwaukee, Suzanne D. Moore of Hampton Falls, NH and Kristen V. Knowles of Glendale. Also survived by his seven grandchildren; Lauren N. DeLeers of Phoenix, AZ, William and James Huntsinger, Jacob and Madeleine Knowles, all of Milwaukee and Emily and Wesley Moore of New Hampshire. Predeceased by his father, mother and sister; Lawrence N. DeLeers, Sr, Vera Harmen DeLeers and Joan Malyszka, all of Marinette, WI. Larry earned his BA in Business in 1958, and his MBA in 1963, both from Marquette University. After a stint at Bank of America in California, most of his professional life was spent at the First Wisconsin National Bank (subsequently Firstar). He retired as a Senior Vice President in international banking in 1988, and then worked briefly for Norwest Bank. In retirement, he founded Saukville Tractor Company. Larry served the broader community as a long-time board member of Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Hospital. Larry enjoyed travel, reading, Marquette basketball, Milwaukee Brewer baseball, lively discussions, trips to Marinette, and most of all, keeping us with his grandchildren's lives. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion during his last days. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 30, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Whitefish Bay. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will be served in the parish hall immediately after the Mass.
