Evelyn Beatrice CORROY

Evelyn B. Ciha, 80, Green Bay, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, at a local nursing home. She was born April 12, 1926, in Stevenson, Mich., to Daniel and Josephine (LaCombe) Corroy. In 1944, Evelyn graduated from Stevenson High School.
On Jan. 17, 1948, she married Ernest Ciha at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Green Bay. Evelyn had been employed at Mason Brothers Red Owl for 38 years. She was a longtime member of Annunciation Parish. Evelyn always enjoyed gardening but most important to her were her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel J. and Deb Ciha, School Hill; four grandchildren, Nick, Paige, Sage, Chelsea; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest in 1986; a son, Jeffery; seven sisters and one brother.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Sr. Toni Jendrasiak officiating. Burial will be next to her husband and son at Nicolet Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
Evelyn's family wishes to express its gratitude to the staff of ManorCare-West for their wonderful care.
