George E. Lynch, 78, of 324 Rowland St . died Tuesday at his home after apparently suffering a heart attack.
A native of Split Rock, Mr. Lynch resided most of his life in Syracuse . He was employed 30 years with Easy Washer Co. and retired in 1976 after 13 years with the Onondaga County Public Libary.
Mr. Lynch and his wife, the former Clara Burgun, also owned a grocery on Grand Avenue 13 years. Mrs. Lynch died in 1981.
Mr. Lynch was a communicant of Most Holy Rosary Church.
Surviving are a son, Robert T. of Fairmount; a daughter, Ann Marie Casson of Fairmount; a brother, William; three sisters, Frances Lanning, Lucy Montonaro and Jessie Adams; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Whelan Bros. Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St . Joseph's Chapel of Most Holy Rosary Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery .
