Birth
The baptismal record gives her name as Ethel, but this is the only place she is given that name. She had a sister named Ethel, born in 1898, who lived to adulthood. To confuse things further, there was an Arline Sherry born in the same town on 4 Dec 1900 -- just five months before our Mary Arlene who was mysteriously called Ethel!Age 8 in 1910.
