Gordon D. Champeau
Tuesday, August 10, 2010 2:56 AMGordon D. Champeau, 86, of Citrus Springs, Fla., passed away on August 6, 2010, in Inverness, Fla. A native of Cedar River, Mich., he was born July 28, 1924, to George and Viola (Braley) Champeau.
  Gordon was a passionate and gifted carpenter and cabinetmaker all of his life and served his country during the Korean War era as a sergeant in the United States Air Force. Mr. Champeau moved to Citrus Springs, Fla. over 35 years ago from Menominee, Mich. and was one of the founding parishioners of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Citrus Springs and a member of Knights of Columbus Council #8510. 
Gordon is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Thelma M. Champeau of Citrus Springs, Fla. and six nieces and nephews.  
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 10 at 11 a.m. from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Fr. Eric Peters, Celebrant. Friends were received on Monday, August 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. www.ferofuneralhome.com.
Interment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills, Fla.
