Obituary of Jeanne M. Rentmeester:
Jeanne Marie Rentmeester, age 91 of Green Bay passed away on October 14, 2010. She was born October 02, 1919 to Francis X. and Lillian (Marchant) Rioux in what is now known as the Angeline Champeau Rioux House (a historical foundation). Her mother died when she was a baby so she was raised by loving relatives and the Sisters at Guardian Angels Boarding School, Oneida. 
Jeanne attended Saint Joseph’s Academy, University of Dayton, George Washington University and an art school in Germany.
On November 20, 1941, she married Lester F. Rentmeester and accompanied him during his 31 year career as a regular Air Force Officer. In Turkey and in Germany, she helped organize clubs involving military wives and local women. Her hobbies were oil painting, writing history books, piloting a plane and Red Cross work. She coauthored seven books dealing with local history. 
She is survived by her husband and a sister, Dorothe Miller. Jeanne was preceded in death by her sister Betty Jerry.
Friends may call Schauer and Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue on Monday, October 18, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Parish, 2597 Glendale Avenue, Village of Howard, the Reverend John Bergstat officiating. Burial will be held at The St. John the Baptist Cemetery of the Holy Sepulchre.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Jeanne’s name.
