Illness
On his draft registration card, dated Sept 1918, Charles is reported to be a sanatorium patient, at The Oak Sanatorium in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. The 1920 Census shows him to be a resident at a sanatorium in Colorado Springs.Residence
Charles B. Probert, age 21, was a patient in this sanatorium. Although the middle initial is wrong, the rest of the information matches our Charles: born in Wisconsin, father born in Wales, mother born in Wisconsin. Presumably, he was sent to a different climate for his health.
