Marriage
There seem to be three different records for the marriage of Pierre Beaudoin to Margaret Bergeron. In the records of the Brown County Register of Deeds, Volume 2 (FHL film 1275773, item 5), one record gives a date of May 5, and the other May 15. More confusingly, one lists the priest as Rev. Peiter Carabin and the other lists Rev. F. Bonduel. In Volume 1 (FHL film 1275722, item 2) there is yet another: Pierre Boudoin m. Margarite Bergeon on 25 July 1841, with Fr. Bonduel officiating (p. 13, #01001). The information was actually registered with the county at a much later date, having been transcribed from church records and registered on 9 Feb 1867, leaving room for errors of transcription. The best explanation I can come up with is that the earlier two dates were actually the reading of banns, later mistakenly transcribed as an actual wedding ceremony. Therefore, the last date, 25 July 1841, is the one I think most likely to be correct.Census (family)
