Notes
Birth
Age 29 on 1880 Census, but 1900 Census gives her birthdate as December 1856 -- five years difference.Marriage
The microfilmed record was registered almost three years after the fact, suggesting that it was transcribed from an earlier source. This may explain why the groom's surname was written as "Tollette" rather than "Collette." It may have been an error in transcription, or the original record may have been wrong. In any case, the date fits [single at time of 1870 Census (1 June 1870); first child born in May of 1872], the bride's name matches, and the names of Jean's parents match.Marriage registered 18 July 1874
