LaVERNE A. JACOBSON
LaVerne A. Jacobson, 86, a lifetime resident of Daggett, Mich., passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Rennes East, Peshtigo Wis. The former LaVerne Adele Raboin was born in Menominee County to the late Wilfred and Agnes (Yale) Raboin.
She married Burt Jacobson on April 22, 1944, at St Fredrick's in Daggett, Mich. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1993. In LaVerne's younger years, she worked at Lloyd's Mfg Co., later she then worked for Lou's Potato Chip and Hirsch's Supper Club. A busy homemaker with three daughters, LaVerne loved to can, bake and was an excellent cook. She loved to do hair. LaVerne was a member of Church of the Precious Blood, and life member of St Mary's Sanctuary Society. Family was a very important part of her life.
LaVerne is survived by three daughters: Connie Jacobson of Marinette, Wis., Bonnie (Alan) Kaehny of Appleton, Wis., and Jill Anderson of Marinette, Wis.; six grandchildren: Jacob, Anne, Sara, Travis, Skylar, and Kaitlin; three sisters: Lois Filibeck of Stephenson, Mich., Mary Maloney of Green Bay, Wis., and Carol Mikus of Port Washington, Wis.; and one sister-in-law, Helen Raboin of Stephenson, Mich. She was preceded in death by one brother, Francis Raboin.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 6, 2007, after 4 p.m. at the ANDERSON DIEHM FUNERAL HOME, Stephenson, Mich. Parish Prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday, March 7, 2007, from 9 a.m. at the CHURCH OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD, Stephenson, Mich., until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Father Mathew Perumpally will be officiating.
