Clayton Maurice Vant Hoff

Posted at findagrave.com: Clayton M. Vant Hoff, 90, of Townsend, DE, formerly of Heritage Park, Wilmington, DE, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at home. Born in Waupun, Wisconsin, on March 26, 1928, he was the son of the late Albert and Sadie (Sommers) Vant Hoff. Raised on a farm with his seven brothers and one sister, he knew what hard work was and he was an example of what hard work and determination can accomplish. While still in Wisconsin, running his own egg business, he met his wife Wilma (Billie). They would go on together, moving to Delaware, growing their family and eventually realizing a dream of building what would be the family business, Action Coffee, for 40 years. Clayton was a faithful and loving husband, father and friend who will be dearly missed.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 57 years, Wilma (Billie) Vant Hoff; eight children: Robert Boyle (Marlene), Jean Younce, Ronald Boyle (Cheryl), Donald Jahns Jr. (Bobbi), Susan Caputo, Barbara Hughes (David), Mark Vant Hoff, Nancy Altizer (Darren); 24 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main St., North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
