Dorothy was born on August 6, 1933 in Stillwater to Vernon Wesley and Jurine Marie (Martin) Easter. She went to Stillwater High School and Tryon High School where she graduated. Dorothy married James (Jim) W. Kirkpatrick on January 1, 1950 in Tryon, Oklahoma and had three children, Vicki, Sherri and Mike. They later divorced. On November 2, 1974 she married Bob W. Brown until his death in 1978. She later married Gene W. Smith on February 14, 1980 in Tryon, Oklahoma until his death in 1999.
Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper and was a member of Crosspoint Church in Stillwater as well as a Moose Lodge member. She loved playing piano, gardening, flowers and bird watching.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands Bob W. Brown and Gene W. Smith and sister Norma Jean Wright.
She is survived by three children Vicki Bruno, Sherri and her husband Rick Anderson and Mike Kirkpatrick. Twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and two brothers, Bill Easter of Vacaville, California and Duane Easter of Clatskanie, Oregon.
Funeral service: October 12, 2015 at 10.00 am at Crosspoint Church in Stillwater with Norman Richmond officiating. Interment at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
