Posted at findagrave.com: Riverton---Martha F. Mabus, 76, of Riverton passed away on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at her home. She was born Jan. 3, 1933, in Dawson, the daughter of Fred and Eva Dennis Frere. She married Loren L. Mabus on June 3, 1950, in Dawson; he preceded her in death in 2008. Martha was a homemaker. She loved gardening, her flowers and feeding the birds. She was known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Ma. Surviving are a daughter, Eva Huff of Riverton; two grandchildren, Ronnie Huff Jr. (Jennifer) of Carmi and Melinda Slightom (Jim) of Raymond; five great-grandchildren, Sadie and Brittany Slightom and Thomas, William and Jonathan Huff. Private family graveside services will be held Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Camp Butler National Cemetery with the Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating.
