Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, Tupelo, Mississippi, August 28, 2004: WEST POINT - Louis Jackson "Jack" Dill, 80, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at the West Point Community Living Center. He was born Dec. 12, 1923, in Clay County. He was a brick mason. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving as a pilot in World War II. Services with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel in West Point with the Rev. Mike Mathena officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Sherree Harris and Carl of West Point, Sandra Warrington and Tom of Richmond, Va., and Lisa D. Pryor and Monte of Augusta, Ill.; a sister, Ellen Jean Dill of West Point; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Aycock Dill; a sister, Louise LeBlanc; and a brother, Earnest B. Dill. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Tommy L. Harris, Kyle L. Pico, Stephen T. Harris, Kyle A. Crawley, James Michael McCool and Craig A. Pryor. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Mays; the staff at the West Point Community Living Center; and Dr. Ed Miller, Brett Miller, Dr. John Cox, Myron Ivy, Marvin Joiner, John McGarrity and Jamie Luke. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children, 912 11th Ave. S., Columbus MS 39701 or Southern Care Hospice, 3336 Dann Road, Birmingham AL 35235.
