"Shock" Rundell, age 83, of Livingston died on Sunday morning, December 5, 1982, in the Methodist Hospital in Madison. He was transferred by Rescue Squad due to an accidental fall he sustained in Fennimore where he had been residing the past three years in his apartment. He was born on March 31, 1899, to Arch and Sarah (Woodward) Rundell in Clifton Township in Grant County, Wisconsin. He was a life-long resident of Livingston where he was Manager and Distributor of the Livingston Co-op Oil Company for over forty years prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the Livingston United Methodist Church and its Adult Fellowship. He was a member of the Livingston Fire Department, the Grant County Volunteer Workers Program, the Livingston Businessmen's Association, the Elks Lodge-Platteville and the Livingston Village Board. He was past president of the Livingston-Watson Association and was a member of the Rock Church Memorial Society. He was an active outdoorsman whose greatest interest was in horses and sports.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Kay Ann Moen and a son-in-law, Ken "Skeeter" Moen of Livingston; twin granddaughters, Kim and Kelly Moen; a grandson, Kirk Moen; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Gilman of Livingston and Mrs. Geraldine Knutson of Poulsbo, Washington; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Bertha Knutson on January 14, 1978; a sister, Mrs. Fern Rundell Wischoff; and three brothers, Wilbur, Harry and Edgar Rundell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 8, at the Livingston United Methodist Church in Livingston with the Reverend John wells, Church Pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Church Cemetery in Livingston. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Soman Funeral Home in Mortfort and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The family suggests that memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church Building Fund.
