He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. He operated the Finney Machine Shop until his retirement in 19?? He invented a portable lift and designed a built road, industrial and mining machinery. He is survived by his wife Marel; daughter Mrs. James Colle, Rockford; and a sister Miss Mildred Finney, Madison, Wis.
