Kirkpatrick, 57, formerly of the Quad-Cities, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wright and Salmon Mortuary, Peoria. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today. He died Sunday at his home. The body will be cremated. Mr. Kirkpatrick was chairman of the board and founder of Med-i-Claims, Peoria. He was a former business manger of the Bettendorf News, and had started and owned the Davenport Shopper. He married Joan A. Bogan in 1983 in Peoria. He was a peacetime Army veteran. He was a 30 year member of Barbershoppers of America and directed Morton Men of Music. He had played clarinet in the Des Moines Symphony, and had played in the Box Biederbecke Jazz Festival. He had lived in Peoria since 1982. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include his wife; daughters Valerie Brekke, Davenport; Cheryl O'Neil, Peoria; and Lori Sergison, Dallas; a son, Robert, Peoria; 23 grandchildren; a great-grand-daughter; brothers, Francis, Grand, Island, Neb., and John, Tucson, Ariz.; stepdaughters, Debra (Mrs. R. L.) Yates, Peoria; Julie (Mrs. R) Been, Vallejo, Calif.; Janann (Mrs. David) Kupper, LaHabra, Calif.; and Christine (Mrs. Fernando) del Monte, San Jue, Puerto Rico; and stepsons, Terry Davis, Pekin, and Tim, Steve and Jeffrey Davis, all of Peoria.
