Posted at Find-A-Grave.com: An 'Eagle' Scout and early leader in the Shreveport-area Boy Scouts during the 1920's and 1930's, his compassionate work as Chief Probation Officer of Caddo Parish made him a "Father Figure" to many of the troubled youths in the area. As these young people grew old enough to vote, they returned the many favors he had bestowed upon them and were a major factor in 1942 when he was elected Commissioner of Public Safety. Because of the chances he provided the young people in the area, his deeds will "Live on".
