She was born November 27, 1913 in Ontario, California and has lived in the Pomona Valley her entire life. She is graduate of Chaffey High School and has been an Avon Sales Representative. She was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church of Pomona for 63 years and was an active member and President of the Women's Auxiliary and The Pilgrim Partners. She served as President of the Republican Women's Club and has been a member since 1983. She also served as an officer and member of the Globe Trotters Travel Club, President of the P.T.A. for Grammar, Middle, and High school, member of the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), Historical Society, Merry Makers Dance Club, and Friends of the Pomona Library. In her leisure she enjoyed camping with the High Desert Ramblers. Married for 63 years to William S. Southworth, she is survived by her four sons. John of Hawaii, wife Sigrid. Steve of Exeter, California married to Cherri and their two daughters Amanda and Stephanie. Don of Rancho Cucamonga married to Gayle and two daughters Kimberly and Heidi. Youngest son, Dave of Pomona. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12, at Pilgrim Congregational Church of Pomona.
