Kirkpatrick, 58, of 1238 Glenhaven Rd., manager of the Pet Milk Company Dairy Division, was dead on arrival at Columbia Hospital Thursday night after an apparent heart attack while driving a car near his home according to Richland County Coroner Cecil Wiles. Richland County sheriff's deputy R. H. Tedder said Mr. Kirkpatrick was driving his 1962 model auto north on Glenhaven about a block from his home when the car left the road and struck a home on the corner of Glenhaven and Whispering Pines Circle. He was born in Table Grove, Ill. son of Frank and Nellie Kirkpatrick*. He had been with Pet Milk company for 30 years and was a member of Shandon Methodist Church, Columbia Kiwanis Club and Columbia County Club. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice Mosher Kirkpatrick; three daughters, Mrs. J. A. (Jean) Blake of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. George (Jane) Procharka [Prochozka] of Athens, Ga., and Miss Jo Kirkpatrick of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Frank Barley of Ipava, Ill., and three brothers, Claire of Van Buren, Ark., Russell of Bardolph, Ill., and Verdete ** Kirkpatrick, of Urbana, Ill. Funeral plans will be announced by Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.

Mr. Kirkpatrick, 58, of 1238 Glenhaven Road, manager of the Pet Milk Company, Dairy Division, died Thursday night. He apparently was stricken with a heart attack while driving his automobile near his home. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Columbia Hospital. Active pallbearers will be O. L. Cole, George Oswald, Charles Cousins, James Templeton, Ocie Merrill, Herman Kinard, James Gandy and Paul C. Harmon. the Carolina Children's Home is suggested to those wishing to send memorials.
