Funeral services for Daniel Clement Gorsuch, 84, who died at his home in Littleton Saturday at 12:50 p.m., will be held at 2:00 tomorrow afternoon at the Littleton Methodist church. The Rev, Lester Banning of Rushville will officiate and burial will be in Astoria cemetery. Gorsuch had been ill of a heart ailment the past year and seriously ill the past few month. He was born Aug. 8, 1863, in Schuyler county, the son of Elisha and Harriet Sandige Gorsuch. Most of his life was spent in Schuyler county, the last 30 years at Littleton. He was a retired teamster, and a member of the Modern Woodman lodge. On Dec. 4, 1890 he married Harriet Kirkpatrick, who survives with five sons and one daughter, Earl Gorsuch of Summum, James of Brooklyn, Otis of Littleton, Mrs. Francis Montgomery of Macomb, Robert and Daniel Gorsuch of Canton. Also surviving are two brothers, Lark Gorsuch of Moline and Elmer of Wichita, Kan., two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Rakestraw of Peoria and Mrs. Permelia Standard of Macomb, 26 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A daughter died in infancy and seven brothers and sisters, Ed, Albert, John and Wm. Gorsuch, Mrs. Leanta Standard, Mrs. Eugena Wilson and Mrs. America Butcher, are deceased. The body has been removed from the Clugston funeral home to the residence in Littleton, where friends may call.
