Louie Newton Kirkpatrick was born on 25 July 1895[6] in Harrison, Sioux County, Nebraska and died in November 1979. He was married twice, first to Ilma Mary Lattu, who was born on 10 October 1903 and died on 19 December 1993, and second to Marian Robinson.
There were three (3) children born of the first marriage.
On the 1930 U. S. Census of Healdsburg, Sonoma Co., California, Louie appears with his wife Ilma and son Robert. Louie is a building carpenter.

Mr Kirkpatrick is survived by his wife, Marian Kirkpatrick of Healdsburg; sons. Robert N. Kirkpatrick of Merced and Donald L. Kirkpatrick of Mendocino; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Vrenios of Washington. DC.; step-sons, Rowllin W. Robinson of Escalon and Frank C Robinson of Windsor; step-daughter, Ruth Wattles of Santa Rosa; grandsons. Robert Sean and Kathy Kirkpatrick of Merced; Nicholas A and Christopher L Vrenios of Washington. DC : granddaughters. Lynne M De Silva of Madrid. Spain, Loune and Bonnie Kirkpatrick of Mendocino; step-grandson, Todd Robinson of Windsor, and step-granddaughters, Teresa Robinson of Seattle and Wendy Pitts of Windsor. Private inurnment will be at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, with interment of the ashes at Oak Mound Cemetery, Healdsburg. The family prefers that donations be made to the Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children, 1701 19th Ave., San Francisco.
