Karst Eugene Younkin was born 6 July 1906 in Marceline, Linn County, Missouri. He married 30 November 1929 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, to Catherine Brown, daughter of Samuel Willis and Laura Vesta (Bobbitt) Brown, who was born 9 February 1906 in Deadwood, Lawrence County, South Dakota, and died 11 January 1991 in Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland.
There were two (2) children born of the marriage.
Frederick News Post, Frederick, Maryland, Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, Page 5, Col. 6: Mr. Karst Younkin, 92, of Genesis Lane, Frederick, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Nora Revoir Younkin of Frederick. Born July 6, 1906, in Marceline, Mo., he was a son of the late William Eugene and Violet Frances Davis Younkin. He was retired from the B & O Railroad, Union Station, Washington, D.C. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Karst Eugene Younkin, Jr. of Gaithersburg and Donald Edgar Younkin of Daytona Beach, Fla.; seven granddaughters, Donna Logan, Marilyn Wojcik, Geannie Younkin, Virginia Lee Staley, Laura Younkin, Wanda Hammer and Cary Morgan; one grandson, William Younkin; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Brown Younkin, in 1991; and one brother, William Lodge Younkin. Services will be at the convenience of the family at Boot Hill Cemetery, Deadwood, S.D.
