Maggie Ross Booth

(16 Dec 1909 - 30 Sep 1910)

Posted at findagrave.com: Printed in The Aberdeen Weekly, Aberdeen, Mississippi dated Friday, October 07, 1910.In Memoriam. Near the village of Hamilton on September 30th, 1910, as the hands on dial passed the midday hour, many anxious and loving hearts were watching around a precious babe, it was then we realized the last lingering ray of hope was about to disappear and that the grim monster, death, robbed the happy little home of its darling and pet.

Little Maggie Ross Booth, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Booth opened her baby eyes to the trials of this world on Dec. 16th, 1909. God loaned this precious little angel to papa and mama for a few brief months, but this world was too cold and cruel for such a dainty flower and He plucked her for His own, to finish out a beautiful bouquet in Heaven. She is not dead, but transplanted to a fairer field, and with baby hands beckoning to mama, papa, little brother, aunts and uncles to that celestial land, where there are no sorrows or bitter tears.

She was tenderly laid to rest in Ross cemetery, beneath garlands and wreaths of beautiful flowers placed by thoughtful and loving hands. Weep not dear parents, for the little spirit is wafted to the God who gave it, 'tis Heaven's gain, and baby is at rest.

A Friend.
