Idaho State Journal, Pocatello, Idaho, Tuesday, January 7, 1964, Page 4, Cols. 7 & 8: We are grieved at the news of the death of our old friend A. C. Kirkpatrick, 91, a widower who made his home in the Fargo apartments, and who has been an active figure in this community for many years. "Kirk," as he was known to all his friends, was a retired railroader and worked in the field as an electrician in the telephone and telegraph department of the Union Pacific. He was a great lover of the best in music and for many years was a soloist and member of the Congregational church choir here. Even at the age of 90, Kirk never missed a musical event of any importance here or in Salt Lake City. He was a friendly and cheerful soul and there was nothing he loved better than to entertain his friends at luncheons or dinners and to sit with them during "bicker" sessions. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a native of southern Illinois and worked for a number of years as an electrician for rural telephone companies in that state and Iowa. At the same time he affiliated himself with various men's glee clubs and singing organizations. We and many others will miss this kindly and friendly man.
