Beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend Stephen passed away January 8, 2006. He was 47 years old, born March 17,1958. Stephen spent his early years in Antioch, Ca. where he graduated from Antioch High School in 1976 and attended Los Medanos College. He moved to Santa Maria in 1980 where he resided until his death. Stephen enjoyed spending his time camping and fishing, a pastime learned from his father and grandfather. He was thrilled to be able to pass his love of the outdoors on to his son. He was a very compassionate and kind hearted man who devoted his life to his son. Stephen worked many years at the Chevron station on Donovan Rd. where he was a cashier. His co-workers, customers and friends will miss his hardy chuckle and general good humor. Stephen was loved by his son, Zachary of Santa Maria, his mother and brother Imogene and Joel Fairhurst of Antioch, Ca., two sisters, Susan Fairhurst of Chico, Ca. and Karen (Rod) Ryan and Chris Kadota of Salt Lake City, UT. He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Vernon Fairhurst and grandfather Aaron Quincy Fairhurst. The family would like to express their thanks to Mary Shuman for all the love and help she has given to Stephen through the years. Stephen will be missed by all those who knew him. A private service for family will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Higgins Chapel in Antioch with burial following at Oakview Cemetery in Antioch.
