Posted at findagrave.com: Emma L. Breazeale was born November 28, 1860 in Iowa, the ninth child of ten, to Robert H. Breazeale (b. 1819 - d. 1893), and Elizabeth B. Wells Breazeale (b. 1821 - d. 1895). Both parents were born in Tennessee and were married in Roane, Tennessee November 14, 1841. It is written that Emma's people originated from southern France, other accounts list Ireland, but as of this writing, there are no records of proof.

Emma married William T. Miller June 23, 1879 and they settled in Henry County, Iowa, the state where they were married. They are listed in the 1880 census as living in Salem, Henry County, Iowa. All seven of their children, three sons and four daughters, were born in Henry County, Iowa before coming to Nebraska.

In 1886, the Miller family moved from Iowa with their young children and their farm livestock, traveling by train to Council Bluffs, Iowa. William drove the livestock across the bridge in a heavy rain storm and corralled the animals in public pens provided for immigrants on Cuming Street, Omaha. They then traveled to western Douglas County where they took up residence on a farm north and west of the town of Valley, Douglas County, Nebraska.

By the 1910 federal census, the Miller family is listed as living in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. There is speculation that William left farming because of poor health from "the reuhmatism" and was bed ridden for a year. Most of the family's adult children are living with their parents in the 1910 Lincoln, Nebraska federal census.

Emma L. Breazeale was Baptized March 5, 1911 and died March 31, 1911 at her home University Place in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the young age of fifty. Her husband William continued another 15 years without her until his death in 1926.
