Rockdale Reporter and Messenger, Rockdale, Texas, Thursday, March 2, 1933, Page 6, Cols. 4 & 5: It is with sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Emma T. Walker, who passed away Sunday, Feb. 26. Mrs. Emma T. Walker, nee Acock [Aycock] was born in Milam county Texas, March 26, 1858. She joined the Methodist church in early life and was true to her church and her God and Her family until the end. She was in Oct. 1879 married to Mr. M. Walker, who preceded her to the other world seven years [ago]. To this union were born six children: two girls and four boys. Tow of these passed on before while one daughter Mrs. Oala Hafley, and three sons, Thornton, Clint and Herbert, remain to mourn her departure. She leaves one sister, five half brothers and sisters, fifteen grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends who miss her going. One, nephew, William Reese, was present. Her entire life was spent in Milam county and those who knew her loved her.
