Macon Chronicle-Herald, Macon, Missouri, Tuesday, September 20, 1938, Front Page, Col. 2: Mrs. C. W. Davisson of Atlanta Dies in Chicago. Mrs. C. W. Davisson, about 66 years of age, passed away at 6:00 o'clock Monday morning in a Chicago hospital. Mrs. Davisson, a resident of Atlanta, had gone to Chicago for a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Atterbury and family, and took ill quite suddenly. She is survived by her husband, C. W. Davisson of Atlanta druggist for many years; the daughter, Mrs. Atterbury and two grandchildren, in Chicago; and one sister, Mrs. Grace Mohler, who lives in California. One sister, Mrs. Anna Dick passed away several years ago at Slater, Mo., and one brother, Ed Newmyer died several years ago in Washington. Mrs. Davisson was before her marriage Miss Ida Newmyer. The body will arrive in Atlanta Wednesday afternoon and will be taken to the Davisson residence. Funeral services will be conducted in Atlanta on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and burial will be made in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The deceased is a cousin of Mrs. Paul Jones and Mrs. Fannie Newmyer, of this city.
