Arkansas Gazette, Little Rock, Arkansas, Tuesday, October 18, 1983, Page 7, Col. 3: Clarence Bean Jr., aged 60 of Clarksville died Sunday. He was a carpenter, an Air Force veteran and a Baptist. Survivors are his wife, Joy G. Bean; four sons, Dennis, W. and Michel C. Bean, both of Clarksville, James N. Bean of Ozone, and Scott Bean of Roland; two daughters, Dianne Hammond of Clarksville and Marcia Dean of Tulsa; a brother, Heartsell Bean of Clarksville; four sisters, Marie Selby, Hazel Taylor, Louise Turner and Easter Woodard, all of Clarksville, and 15 grandchildren. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stillwell Bible Baptist Church. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.

Grave marker showed he was a Sgt. in U.S. Army in World War II.
