The Chanute Tribune, January 13, 2006, Chanute, Kansas: Mission, Texas - Ruth E. Hunter, 74, Mission, Texas and formerly of Chanute, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Mission Regional Hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1931, in Chanute, and grew up here. She married Fred Hunter, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Fred Hunter III, Kansas City, and David Hunter, Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Patricia Dunn, Mounds, Okla.; and two grandsons. Private graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Maple Hill Cemetery, 2301 S. 34th St., Kansas City, KS 66106. Memorials to the Arthritis Foundation may be sent to the cemetery.
