Martha Swiers was born 10 March 1839 near Dubuque, Iowa, and died 16 February 1908. She is buried at Platteville, Wisconsin. On 16 May 1860 she married Johnson Payntor Rundell. He was born 9 October 1834 in Cornwall, England, the son of James and Betsy (Payntor) Rundell. James Rundell was born in 1789 and died in 1839 or 1840 and is buried at St. Eval Parish, Cornwall, England. Betsy (Payntor) Rundell was born in 1791 in Cornwall and died in 1877 and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville, Wisconsin.

Johnson Payntor Rundell came to the U.S. in 1853 with his mother and settled in Mifflin, Wisconsin in 1860 where he farmed until about 1869. After his first wife's death Rundell married Elvira (Jones) Ruble, daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth (Kirkpatrick) Jones. Johnson Rundell died 14 November 1922 and is buried in Platteville, Wisconsin.
