Morning Star, Rockford, Illinois, Sunday, September 21, 1947, Page 24, Col. 4: Mrs. Bertha Brunskill Wise, about 69, former Rockford resident and missionary, died at her home in Chicago at 2 p.m. yesterday following a long illness. A native of Iowa, she lived in Rockford about 14 years, and her children were born here. She was a lifelong member of First Church of the Brethren. She also lived in Mount Morris and in Tennessee. Surviving are her husband; a son, Harlan, and a daughter, Olive, all of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Turner, Rhinelander, Wis., and Mrs. Ella Wilkinson, Platteville, Wis.; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Church of the [obit ended and another person's obit followed.]
