He moved to Leesburg in 1995 from Orlando, FL. He was a broadcast technician in the radio and television industry. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed RVing all of his life and was an avid Washington Red Skins fan. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church of Leesburg. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Beissel of Leesburg, FL; four daughters, Kathryn Kodani of Fulton, MD, Laura Beissel of Post Falls, ID, Renee Miklos of Columbia, SC and Suzanne Biessel of Cape Coral, FL; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Joan McCarthy of Gaithersburg, MD; two brothers, Jack Beissel of Shoreview, MN and Bill Beissel of Plymouth, MN. He was predeceased by two daughters, Joanne Beissel and Jane Price and sister, Marjorie Hansen. No services are planned and his remains will be inurned at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
