Huron Daily Plainsman, Huron, South Dakota, Friday, September 28, 1973, Page 2 Col. 2: Murder-Suicide Claims Yale Man On Farm In N.D. Grafton, N.D. (AP)---Two farm workers have been found dead of gunshot wounds in a mobile home southwest of Grafton, the Walsh County Sheriff's Department says.
Walsh County Sheriff Ernie Shoults said Dale Wiebe, 22, Yale, S. D., and Donald Koehn, 22, Edinburg, N. D., were found dead Thursday night. Each had been shot with a high-powered rifle, the sheriff said.
Shoults said it was an apparent murder-suicide. The possibility of an accident was ruled out because of the positions of the bodies and the rifle, he said.
Wiebe and Koehn had lived together in the mobile home since March, authorities said. Millard Torkelson, owner of the farm on which the mobile home was located, discovered the bodies after hearing shots.
