Leavenworth Times, Leavenworth, Kansas, Sunday, May 18, 1975, Page 5, Col. 1: Welbie D. Stephens, 66, Weston, Mo., died Friday at Cushing Memorial Hospital. He was born at Weston and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Stephens was a farmer and served in the Army during World War II. He is survived by two sons, Rodney Stephens of the home and Gary D. Stephens, Perry, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Meyer, Farley, Mo., and Mrs. Gwenneth Buckles, Platte City, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Anne Allen, Platte City, Mo., Mrs. Grace Baker, Mrs. Christine Frazer and Mrs. Eva Harpst, all of Weston, and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Vaughn Funeral Chapel at Weston. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Weston. Friends may call between 7 and 8 p.m. today at the chapel. The family suggests memorials to the Heart of American Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association.
