James Harrington McAfee

Springfield Union, Springfield, Massachusetts, Wednesday, March 27, 1957, Page 2, Col. 2: James McAfee, 61, 32d Degree Mason. James H McAfee, 61, husband of Helen (Kirk) McAfee of 60 Colony Rd., West Springfield, died Tuesday in Springfield Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., son of the late James Winifred (Harrington) McAfee and had lived in West Springfield for eight years. He was manager of the John Deere Plow Co., West Springfield, retiring last summer. He was member of Elm Lodge of Masons, West Springfield, and a 32d Degree Mason, being a member of the Connecticut Valley Consistory.
Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Miss Elizabeth McAfee of Elmira, N. Y., Miss Jean McAfee of West Springfield, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Robert Chapin of Ashburnham, and three grandchildren.
A private funeral will be held at Curran-Jones funeral home. The family requests no calling hours and flowers be omitted. Contributions may be sent to Shriners Hospital, Carew St., Springfield. Elm Lodge of Masons will conduct a Masonic service at the funeral home tonight at 8.
