Heber Hays Hurt

The Oregonian, Portland, Oregon, Tuesday, April 11, 1995: A graveside service was held Monday, April 10, 1995, in Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Forest Grove. Mr. Hurt died April 5 at age 78. He was born Dec. 30, 1916, in Custer, Mont. Mr. Hurt married Faeora Jenkins in 1948; she died in 1973. He married Lois Spotts in 1977; she died in 1993.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he moved to Oregon in 1952. He worked for Birds Eye Cannery in Hillsboro and John Deere Co. near Forest Grove. He retired from Union Carbide in 1975 and moved to Nestucca Bend in 1977.
Survivors are his stepdaughters, Alene Rowe and Louise Randall, both of Salem, and Gayle L. Wolfe of Monroe; stepsons, Randy Spotts of San Diego and Ryan Spotts of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements: Forest Grove Memorial Chapel.
