Edgar Wickliff Wilhite

Seymour Daily Tribune, Seymour, Indiana, Monday, November 26, 1962, Page 9, Col. 4: Rites Conducted For Mrs. Cummins' Father. Funeral services for W. E. Wilhite, of Raub, Ind., father of Mrs. E. C. Cummins of Seymour, were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Towers and McMullan Funeral Home in Kentland. Burial was in the Fleming Cemetery, near Kentland. Mr. Wilhite, 82, had been a barber in Raub for 61 years and was still active at the time of his death.
He was a past master of the Masonic lodge and had been a Mason for over 50 years. He was a member of the Raub Methodist Church. Mr. Wilhite was born April 21, 1880, in Monrovia, the son of the late John and Eliza Mason. In 1905 at Raub, he married Adeline Kirkpatrick, who preceded him in death in 1956.
Survivors Include three daughters, Miss Leota Wilhite, Mrs. G. A. Bartlett of West Lafayette and Mrs. E. S. Cummins, of Seymour; one son, Gordon Wilhite of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Janie Rightnour of Jamestown, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
