Claude Leslie Allbritton

Posted at findagrave.com: Claude Allbritton, age 98, passed away Sunday, March 03rd, 2013 at the MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 06th, 2013 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 07th, 2013 at 10:00am from the old Sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Clinton, MS. Interment and graveside services will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd.
Mr. Allbritton was born January 12th, 1915 in Pinola, MS to the late Jessie Beal Allbritton and Margaret Emery Colquhon Allbritton. He was a self taught building contractor. He was a well respected builder in the Clinton and Jackson Metro areas. As a young man, he single handedly built Pinola Baptist Church. He retired at the age of 85 from building after more than 50 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton, MS for over 40 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Mr. Allbritton was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Catherine Berry Allbritton; son, Charles Michael Allbritton; daughter, Jenny Allbritton Oneal; brother, Eugie Crisler Allbritton; sisters, Verna Allbritton Connelly and Jessie Rea Allbritton Vinson.
Survivors include the following: wife, Aline Carter Allbritton of Ridgeland, MS; son, Claude Joseph Allbritton (Karla) of Hoover, AL; daughter, Dianne Allbritton Cothran (Henry) of Gainesville, FL; brother-n-law, Richard Vinson of Brandon, MS; sisters, Ann Farr of Prattville, AL, Dell Williams of Jackson, MS and Lynett Ashley of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Jesse Brian Allbritton, Lockett Allbritton Taylor, Nathan Boone Cothran, and Catherine Leslie Cothran along with 5 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank his caregivers Fredricka Baker and Donnie Gasper.
