Funeral services for Alonzo Hammond, 73, of Sesser, will be held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday at the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser. Interment will be at Maple Hill cemetery. Mr. Hammond, a retired farmer, died Thursday afternoon at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. A life-long resident of Franklin county, he was in ill health for some time. He is survived by his wife, Mima; three sons, Wayne and Dwight of Ina and Lester of Gary, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Georgena Wells of St. Charles; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; a brother, Irvin of Sesser; and three sisters, Mrs. Ora Spann of Sesser, Mrs. Emma Knapp of New Troy, Mich., and Mrs. Nellie Knapp of Tamaroa.
