Kouts, July 7---George (Ed) Crouch, 69, Kouts farmer, died at 4:45 a.m. today in Porter Memorial hospital following a lingering illness. Born Dec. 5, 185 [1885], in Franklin county, Ill., the son of Ozrar and Rachael Crouch, he married Gertrude Cockrum, who survives, on Aug. 2, 1905, in Franklin county. Crouch had lived in Kouts for the past 15 years, coming here from Franklin county. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist church in Franklin county.

Surviving in addition to the widow are his mother, Mrs. Rachel Crouch, Franklin county, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Roscoe henry, New Chicago, Ind., and Mrs. Roy Riggs, Valparaiso, and one son, Glenn, of Kouts. His father and one brother preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday in the Kosanke Brothers Funeral home with the Rev. Charles Johnson, of the Kouts Christian church, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery at Kouts. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m., Friday, and until the time of services.
