Posted at findagrave.com: Platteville---Mable Hansen, age 103, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at Heartland Health Care Center, Platteville. She was born on Aug. 3, 1899, in New Hartford, Iowa, to the late Eugene and Margaret (Pyrtherch) Enloe. She married Walter Melvin Hansen on Jan. 15, 1918, in Rewey. During her lifetime she was an active member of Cuba City United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid Society, Wisconsin State Historical Society, The Federated Women's Club, and was a charter member of the George Reams DAR chapter, Platteville.
She was a firm believer in education and saw to it that each of her four children received college degrees. She was proud of the fact that the Enloe's lived in Wisconsin before Wisconsin became a state in 1848. She was equally proud that a member of the family had seen service in all wars from the American Revolutionary War through the Vietnam War.
