Funeral services for William "Bill" Yeast, former resident of Fairfield, will be held in Des Moines Tuesday. Yeast died in a hospital in Des Moines about 7:30 a.m. Saturday shortly after his arrival there.
The services Tuesday will be held at the Arnold Highland Park Funeral Home in Des Moines at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines. William Yeast attended schools in Fairfield and graduated from the Fairfield High School in 1933. He was married to Mildred Anderson*, also a former resident of Fairfield and they have made their home in Des Moines the past several years. In addition to his widow Yeast is survived by two children, James, West Des Moines, and a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Cobb, Des Moines; two grandchildren and a brother, Jackson Yeast, Cedar Rapids. *Mildred had a step father with the last name Anderson, she evidently used it or was adopted by him.
