Mesa, Arizona/Madison, Wisconsin---Mrs. Keith (Jeanette) Rundell, age 74, of Mesa, Arizona/Madison, Wisconsin, and formerly of the Platteville and Belmont areas, died on Saturday, April 4, 1992, in the Northwest Texas hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She was born on March 6, 1918, in Belmont, the daughter of Harry and Letha (Shaw) Gehrke. She was married to Keith Rundell in January of 1949 in Madison. He died On March 20, 1992. She graduated from Platteville High School and then from the Wisconsin State Teacher's College at Platteville in 1938 with a degree in secondary education. She taught at the Mortfort Elementary School until 1941. She worked for the Federal Government from 1941 until the 1970's, primarily with the federal Aviation Agency, which included work as an air traffic controller. She then worked in a clerical position with the University of Wisconsin Extension in Madison until her retirement in 1979. She attended Unity Church. She is survived by a step-son, Rhett (Irene) Rundell of Springhill, Florida; a step-granddaughter, and a step-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Alice) McQuillan of Mission, Texas, and Mrs. Cleo DuBois of Madison, Wisconsin; a brother, Willard (Natalie) Gehrke of Appleton, Wisconsin; and 11 loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Gehrke; a half sister, Mildred Walton; and a half brother, Charles Gehrke. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 1992, at the Bonin-Bendorf Funeral Home in Platteville. The Reverend Rudy Leidig of Rockford, Illinois, will officiate. Burial will be in the Rock Church Cemetery near Livingston. Friends may call from t:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 1992, at the funeral home.
