Lexington Leader, Lexington, Kentucky, Saturday, February 20, 1915, Page 3, Col. 3: News of Kentucky. Whitesburg, KY---A few days ago, Whayne (sic) Taylor's mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Creech, aged about seventy, came from Berea, Ky., to visit the family at Camp Branch. Soon after she became ill and lingered until Wednesday morning when she died. On Tuesday, Mrs. Whayne Taylor, her daughter, was taken ill in the home also, followed by the serious illness of a little child of Mrs. Taylor. Wednesday evening both Mrs. Taylor and the little child died, making three deaths in the little Taylor family in a single day.
