Platt map of Putnam County MO in 1897 has this description of Sherman Township citizens: Wolf, Jacob, P. O. Unionville, Section 24--Mr. Wolf was born in Pike county, Ohio September 18th 1829. Came to Indiana with his mother remaining 2 years and in 1838 came to Missouri locating in Putnam county in 1845. He was married to a Miss Sarah A. Nash May 9th 1852. Miss Nash was born in Hendricks county, Indiana, November 23, 1829 and came to Putnam county with her parents in 1848. To this union were born eleven children, ten of whom are living, seven boys and three girls. Mr. Wolf has been Justice of the peace for thirty-five years.
